
Canada is the
second largest country in the world. Canada stretches from the Atlantic Ocean to
the Pacific Ocean with the Artic Ocean to the north and the United States to the
south. Canada has provinces, ten of them and three territories. About 77% of the
population lives in towns and cities and the two main languages are English and
French. French is spoken by about six million of the population and over a
million people in Canada are Aboriginal. Canada has nearly one quarter of all
the fresh water in the world and forests cover almost half of the country.

many opportunities from jobs to recreation, tourism and natural beauty. Canada
has the largest coastline in the world making for amazing boating, cottage and
swimming type of activities. Forests, plants, animals and fish are some of
Canada's renewable resources and there are many different types of farms in
Canada: grain farms, vegetable farms, fruit orchards, livestock and dairy
farms. There are 42 national parks in Canada and these parks were created to
protect the forests, plants and wildlife. Canada has laws to protect the wild
animals and plants that are endangered so hunting, mining and logging are not
allowed in parks. Canada exports motor vehicles and parts, industrial machinery,
aircraft, telecommunications equipment; chemicals, plastics, fertilizers; wood
pulp, timber, crude petroleum, natural gas, electricity, aluminum.
