Indiana is the smallest state west of the Appalachian Mountains and is a diverse state with some large urban areas and some small industrial cities. Indiana’s climate includes hot, humid summers and cool to cold winters.

Indiana's labor force is located primarily in medium-sized and smaller cities rather than in very large and expensive metropolises.
